1953 - 1962
The Tracey-Behrent Engineering Company is founded by John E. Tracy (President) and co-founded by Robert V. Behrent (Vice President) with headquarters in Denver, Colorado. The Company offers the services of consulting engineers, with a wide record of experience in engineering design and planning.
On May 1, 1962, Robert V. Behrent incorporates the Behrent Engineering Company as a successor to the Tracy-Behrent Engineering Company.
1962 - 1969
The company is awarded over 50 separate projects working for the Atomic Energy Commission, The Dow Chemical Company, and Shell Chemical Company at the Rocky Flats Plant and Rocky Mountain Arsenal in Denver, Colorado.
The Outstanding Engineering Excellence Award is presented to Behrent Engineering Company for work on the Particle Control Chamber for the National Center for Atmospheric Research.
Behrent is awarded the Electrical Design of a $30 million, 470,000-tpy wet-process cement plant for The Ideal Cement Company, a Division of Ideal Basic Industries, Inc.
An Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) is integrated into the company.
Robert V. Behrent retires.
Corporate Headquarters are relocated to 1999 Broadway, Denver, CO.
Behrent is awarded a contract with Denver International Airport (DIA) for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Services.
Ralph "Bud" Obert is appointed President by the Board of Directors.
Corporate Headquarters are relocated to 11455 W. I-70 N. Frontage Rd, Wheat Ridge, CO.
Terrance "Terry" Shelander is appointed President by the Board of Directors.
August 12, 1996 Behrent acquires MK-Centennial’s Denver based Industrial Group (Cement Division).
Behrent signs multiple joint venture agreements for large cement plant projects.
Doug Armstrong is appointed President by the Board of Directors.
2005 – 2006
Behrent helps to restore electrical power and control systems to the Holcim New Orleans Cement Terminal after it is devastated by massive flooding caused by Hurricane Katrina.
Behrent acquires Golden, Colorado based Enthalmetrix Engineering Consulting Group.
Behrent celebrates its 50 Year Anniversary.
2013-2016 End of Active Business
Accinge Industrial LLC is formed as a wholly owned subsidiary of Behrent Engineering Company. Accinge offers Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services.
Behrent receives Power Magazine Reinvention Award (formerly known as the Marmaduke Award) for industrial boiler flexibility at Colorado Energy Nations cogeneration plant.
